9-1-3: MECHANICAL CODE ADOPTED:

A. Adoption Of Code: A certain document, three (3) copies of which are on file in the office of the village clerk of the village of Broadview, being marked and designated as the international mechanical code, 2009 edition, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the international mechanical code of the village of Broadview, in the state of Illinois for regulating and governing the design, construction, quality of materials, erection, installation, alteration, repair, location, relocation, replacement, addition to, use or maintenance of plumbing systems as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said mechanical code on file in the office of the village are hereby referred to, adopted, and made part hereof, as if fully set forth in this subsection, with the additions, insertions, and deletions and changes, if any, prescribed herein. B. Exceptions: There shall be the following exceptions and modifications to the BOCA basic/national mechanical code:

Section M-100.1. Village of Broadview shall be inserted wherever it refers to name of jurisdiction.

Section M-114.3 The fee schedule shall be as follows:

1. New warm air furnace system with ducts $25.00
2. Replace furnace only 15.00
3. Infrared gas-fired unit or gas-fired suspended unit
First unit 15.00
Each additional unit 5.00
4. Gas-fired through the wall heaters 15.00
5. Boilers
288,000 BTU per hour or less net output rating
  of boiler, complete installation 25.00
Boiler replacement only 15.00
6. Ventilating systems, mechanical supply and exhaust
Capacity 3,000 cubic feet of air per minute 20.00
Each additional 1,000 cubic feet per minute 5.00
Increase in capacity for each 1,000 cubic feet 5.00
  (Capacity is the sum of supply and exhaust)
7. Refrigeration and air conditioning
Each compressor or generator unit of 5 tons
capacity or less
15.00
Over 5 tons capacity 25.00

Sec. M-117.4 Penalties shall be as set forth in section 1-4-1 of the village code providing for general penalties.

Sec. M-118.2 Penalties for unlawful continuance shall be as set forth in section 1-4-1 of the village code providing for general penalties.
