NOTICE TO BIDDERS
VILLAGE OF BROADVIEW

Notice is hereby given by the President and Board of Trustees of the Village of Broadview, Illinois that bid
proposals will be received for the following project:

2021 Municipal Parking Lots

The scope of work of the project involves, milling the existing asphalt surface of two existing parking lots located
at the southwest corner of the intersection of Roosevelt Road and 18th Avenue and the southeast corner at the
intersection of Roosevelt Road and 16th Avenue, installation of a hot-mix asphalt binder course, and hot-mix
asphalt surface course, and the construction of two proposed parking lots located at the northwest corner at the
intersection of Roosevelt Road and 15th Avenue and the southeast corner at the intersection of Roosevelt Road
and 14th Avenue, adjustments, installation of new structures and drainage pipes, installation of new lighting
fixtures, and all other appurtenant work thereto.

The contractor shall be paid in cash for the work to be performed on this project.
Electronic copies of the bidding documents are available from the office of the Municipal Engineer, Edwin
Hancock Engineering Co., via email request to. A non-refundable fee of thirty dollars ($30.00) will be required. No
bidding documents will be issued after 4:00 P.M. on Friday, the 30th day of July 2021. Bid proposals must be
submitted on the forms provided. Only contractors that have been issued bidding documents by Hancock
Engineering Company, the Village Engineer will be allowed to submit proposals.

Sealed bids will be received up to the hour of 11:30 A.M. on the 4th day of August of 2021, at the Village Clerk’s
Office, in the Village Hall, 2350 S. 25th Avenue, Broadview, Illinois. All sealed bids received shall be clearly labeled
“2021 Municipal Parking Lots” and will be publicly opened and read at that time.

All bid proposals offered must be accompanied by a bid bond in an amount which shall not be less than Ten
Percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid or a cashier’s check or certified check, made payable to the Village of
Broadview, as a guarantee that if the bid proposal is accepted, a contract will be entered into and the
performance of the contract properly secured. No bid proposal shall be considered unless accompanied by such
bid bond or check.

The award of a Contract will be made within forty-five (45) days following the date of the opening of bids.
The Contractor and Subcontractors shall comply with all regulations issued pursuant to Prevailing Wage Act (820
ILCS 130), and other applicable Federal Laws and regulations pertaining to labor standards.

The Village of Broadview reserves the right to waive technicalities and to reject any/all bids.
