Vehicle Stickers

Broadview requires that all residents display a resident sticker on their vehicles. Vehicle Stickers go on sale by March 15th, and are available at the Village Office located at 2350 South 25th Avenue.

Failure to purchase the current year vehicle sticker by April 30 will result in a penalty.

Penalty period begins May 1, and the cost of the vehicle sticker doubles.

Overnight Parking

Overnight parking restrictions are in place in the Village of Broadview. Overnight parking in Municipal lots and Village streets is prohibited between the hours of 2:00am and 5:00am. All violators will be ticketed.

The Police Chief, or an agent authorized by the Chief, may grant permission for occasional overnight parking privileges, which requires registration with the Police Department. For more information on overnight parking, please call the non-emergency police number at 708-345-6550.

NO! The Village's Snow Ban on street parking supersedes the permit program. Even if you have purchased an overnight parking permit, YOU MUST MAKE OTHER ARRANGEMENTS as these zones will be plowed just like any other street and they must be clear in order to plow.

7-4-2-2; OVERNIGHT PARKING PERMITS

  1. Overnight Parking Permitted. Overnight parking shall be permitted in certain designated areas as provided for herein and under the conditions stated herein provided that a permit for such parking is obtained from the Village, as set forth in this subsection.
  2. Zoned Permit Parking. Designated permit parking areas shall be divided into parking zones ("Zone(s)") and any persons possessing a permit for a specific Zone may park in any designated permit parking areas with the same Zone number. Parking in the wrong Zone is a violation of this ordinance. The parking Zones shall include the following locations:

Zone 1 - vehicles under 8,000 pounds only

  1. 25th Avenue between Harvard Street and Fillmore Street (2000 block of 25th Avenue), west side of streets: and
  2. 24th Avenue north of Roosevelt Road to the alley, east and west sides of street; and
  3. 24th Avenue south of Roosevelt Road to the alley, east and west sides of street; and
  4. 23rd Avenue north of Roosevelt Road to the alley, east and west sides of street; and
  5. 23rd Avenue south of Roosevelt Road to the alley, east and west sides of street, and
  6. 21st Avenue north of Roosevelt Road to the alley, east and west sides of street, and
  7. 21st Avenue south of Roosevelt Road to the alley, east and west sides of street; and

Zone 2 - Vehicles under 8,000 pounds only

  1. 1600 block of Lexington Street between 17th Avenue and the alley on the east, north side of street;

Zone 3 - Vehicles under 8,000 pounds only unless otherwise provided herein

  1. 13th Avenue north of Roosevelt to the alley, west side of the street;
  2. 13th Avenue south of Roosevelt to the alley, east and west sides of the street; and
  3. 11th Avenue south of Roosevelt Road to the alley, east and west sides of street
  1. Persons parking a semi-truck or trailer must call the Broadview Police Department prior to the parking in said Zone 3 lot to ensure availability.

Zone 4 - vehicles under 8,000 pounds only:

  1. 18th Street between 10th Avenue and 12th Avenue, south side of street.

Zone S - vehicles under 8,000 pounds only

  1. 9th Avenue between 19th Street and Cermak Road (2800 and 2900 block of 9th Avenue), east side of street.

Zone 6 - vehicles under 8,000 pounds only

  1. 16th Avenue and Roosevelt Road at the Village-owned lot

Snow Season

Village Ordinance prohibits street parking during the snow season, or after a two-inch snowfall, until after the streets have been cleared by Village plows.
