Compensation: $99,112.63 - $105,171.14

Lateral Entry Officers may qualify for the following pay increases:

  • Lateral Officers with two years of experience will be paid at the Year 2 tier: $99,112.63.
  • The maximum amount that a Lateral can be paid in the Village is the Year 5 tier. If a lateral has 5 or more years of police experience and desires employment with the Village, they will be paid at the Year 5 tier: $105,171.14 (as of 5/1/2025, top pay is $109,377.99).

To be eligible:

  • Applicant must be Illinois Law Enforcement Certified - OR - meet the out of state trained reciprocity requirements.
  • Must have served full time for at least two (2) years with a Law Enforcement Department.
