  3. Hear Appeals: Members hear and decide on appeals where it is alleged there is an error in any order, requirement, decision, or determination made by the building commissioner in the enforcement of the zoning ordinance.
  4. Public Hearings: Conduct public hearings to gather community input on zoning matters. This is crucial for maintaining transparency and allowing residents to voice their opinions on proposed developments.
  5. Recommendations to the Village Board: Provide recommendations to the Village Board of Trustees regarding zoning issues, amendments to zoning ordinances, and other matters affecting the spatial development of the Village.
