1. Code Adopted: A certain document, one (1) copy of which is on file in the office of the Village clerk of the Village of Broadview, being marked and designated as the International Building Code, 2018 edition, as published by the International Code Council, be and is hereby adopted as the International Building Code of the Village of Broadview, in the State of Illinois for regulating and governing the conditions and maintenance of all property, buildings and structures; by providing the standards for supplied utilities and facilities and other physical things and conditions essential to ensure that structures are safe, sanitary and fit for occupation and use; and the condemnation of buildings and structures unfit for human occupancy and use the demolition of such structures as herein provided; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefor; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said international building code on file in the office of the Village of Broadview are hereby referred to, adopted, and made part hereof, as if fully set out in this subsection.
  2. Amendments: The following sections are hereby deleted, modified or amended:

Article 1 – Administration and Enforcement:

Sec. 101.1 Title.  Delete name of jurisdiction and insert in lieu thereof “Village of Broadview.”

Section 109.2 Fee Schedule.  Building fees will be 2.5% of the construction costs with a minimum of $50.00.  Plan review fees and inspection fees for all trades will be the consultant cost plus a 15% administration fee.

 

Section 109.4 Violation Penalties.  Penalties shall be set forth in section 1-4-1 of the Village Code providing for general penalties.

Chapter 5 Special Use and Occupancy Requirements.

3109.1 Swimming Pools.    Refer to 2018 International Swimming Pool and Spa Code.

Fire Protection Systems.  Refer to 2018 International Fire Code and local ordinances and amendments.

Signs.   Refer to Village of Broadview sign ordinances and codes.

Electric Wiring, Equipment and Systems.

Refer to the 2014 National Electric Code

Plumbing Systems.

Refer to 2014 State of IL Plumbing Code or latest edition.
