Records Division

The records division is overseen by the Administrative Lieutenant. A part-time records clerk processes reports requested by the public. Freedom of Information requests, record checks for city, state, and federal jurisdictions, local court files, and village ordinance violations are
maintained by the records division. Fines, including traffic fines, village ordinance fines, and towing/storage are managed by the records division. Parking fines can be paid online at www.payguicket.com

The Administrative Lieutenant is the liaison with the Maybrook Courthouse to ensure citations are transmitted to the Cook County Clerk’s Office and court files are readily available for the State’s Attorney’s Office for prosecution. Records request can be made at the Broadview
Municipal Building, Police Window between 8:30AM and 4:30PM Monday – Friday.

COPS Bureau

This office coordinates police participation in community events and assures that police personnel are actively engaged in the community and embracing the Community Policing philosophy (active partnerships within the community). Here’s just a small example of some of
the things the Community Outreach Office has been involved with:

  • Increased presence at Lindop and Roosevelt Schools
  • Bike Patrol
  • Foot Patrol
  • Operation Santa
  • DUNKIN “Cop on Rooftop” for Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics
  • National Night Out
  • Coffee with a Cop
  • Social Media Activity
  • Anonymous Crime Tips

Community Policing means authentic partnerships between police and communities and other agencies to solve problems that threaten community safety. The idea is to build trust and familiarity; to bridge the gap between the public and the police officers who serve them.  If
residents and police officers work as partners to reduce crime, we can improve the standard of living for residents, strengthen our business district and increase officer safety all at the same time.
